Department of Sound Development

The voice development department has the girls who like to sing, but lack the self-confidence to make their voices, or alternatively fail to sound well, join quickly, fail to reach high tones and the like.

In this class, emphasis is placed on proper breathing, sounding out well, and learning about the structure of the pharynx and vocal cords and more.

Poetry is a wonderful expression tool for the soul that serves the girls who come to sing. In the department, they gain self-confidence in singing singly and together, singing correctly and purchasing this tool as a way to go …

We meet girls who just sing for pleasure in the boarding hours, or when in distress and difficulty turn to singing as an emotional vent and then feel very relieved, calm and joyful. And proper singing cuts and so able to sing easily without a sense of crunch.
